This position involves: 

• Working closely with the creative director and members of the team
• Newsletter engagement (print and email)
• Magazine production which includes but isn’t limited to:
  • QA of ads received from clients
  • ad design for clients
  • photography
• Event design

Requirements

• Must have an online portfolio for review that exemplifies good use of typography, color, and layout. Any links to websites developed is a bonus.
• A bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with additional work experience.
• Must reside near Washington, D.C. or Harrisburg, PA

Job Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Suite on a Mac (CS6 and later; especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Proficient with Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc…)
• An affinity for good typography and layout
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Maintaining organized folders and files
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects while producing quality work under tight deadlines
• Ability to learn and adapt to changes quickly
• Ability to collaborate with web development and social media staff for digital production
• Commitment to responsiveness, high-quality work, confidentiality, and customer service
• Must work well with vendors and printers

Bonus Qualifications:

• Portrait and product photography experience
• Basic front-end development experience (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, etc…)
• Website maintenance (WordPress and Joomla knowledge is a plus)
• Experience with developing multi-page publications and proposals
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
